Ms CAROLYN REGAN

Chief Executive – Legal Services Commission (LSC) England and Wales

Carolyn joined the Legal Services Commission in September 2006 after 25 years in the NHS. She was Chief Executive of three health authorities between 1996 and 2006, finally heading the North East London Strategic Health Authority from 2002.

Carolyn is leading the LSC through a period of significant change, including the implementation of major reforms that will ensure a sustainable future for legal aid. Carolyn is responsible for an annual expenditure of around £2 billion, which helps around 2 million people across England and Wales with legal advice and representation each year from over 5,000 solicitors, barristers and not for profit organisations.

Carolyn is also on the Council of City University London and is a Trustee of Action Space.
