MR KEN THOMSON

Ken Thomson is the Director responsible for the Constitution, Law and Courts Directorate in the Scottish Government and sponsors the Scottish Legal Aid Board which is responsible for administering the legal aid scheme in Scotland. Ken joined the civil service in Scotland in the late 1980s and has since worked in a range of policy and project management roles, including time on secondment to the private sector, in public-sector agencies and as private secretary to Ministers including Donald Dewar as Secretary of State for Scotland and the First Minister of Scotland.
